We have worked with both attorneys on a number of different issues and tasks. Regarding Attorneys Kauffman and Billimoria, I can attest that they both exhibit a VERY high level of technical and interpersonal skills. And, yes, I have recommended both of them to friends and family.

Zubin and Megan are wonderful to work with. They both respond quickly and Zubin worked quickly to get me my divorce! This is an excellent law firm and I will recommend to family and friends!

I needed a deed corrected before I listed my house. I had my work with another attorney that in 3 months I had no forward progress. Within 3 weeks I had the new deed with K&B. They were very responsive to emails and calls. I had some major issues with the neighbors over fencing and the K&B team was there to answer questions and help me. I would highly recommend these folks to you. I felt like they actually cared about me and were determined to help me.

I hired Zubin to represent me in matters related to custody, and later, divorce. He has a way of making an uncomfortable and scary process feel safe with his personable nature and his ability to break down the proceedings and options in a way that is manageable. I was impressed by so many things in dealing with Zubin, and it would take more than just a simple review to convey them. Overall, if you need someone who is genuine, who is transparent about costs, who represents what is in the client?s best interests, it?s Zubin. Hands-down, I can?t imagine having the peace I do today without Zubin?s guidance and investment in the outcome. He truly cares, and that was very clear from my first phone call to his office! The entire staff is exceptional and it?s no surprise that so many kind, caring, and smart people work under one roof! Leslie, Gayle, Allen, Zubin, and Tom are all amazing people, and it has been a pleasure to have met them!

From the very first time I spoke with Atty. Zubin he made me feel that we have been friends for a long time. He was very knowledgeable about the law and he was readily available.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
