I needed Todd's services as an administrator/executor of an estate. Todd's service has been excellent! He was patient and took the time to answer all of my questions! He represented me at a hearing in Williamson county in Texas. I know that he also serves Travis and other counties in Texas.

As a single mom I'm so relieved to have a will and trust set up for my daughters. Todd Wilson walked me through each step and I'm thoroughly pleased with the final product. This is my second will to have been drawn up and my experience with Todd was so much more personal and professional than with the previous law firm I used. He's a fantastic attorney and a great resource. Take this off your to-do list and get your will set up with Todd Wilson, he's the best!

We recently worked with Todd for our estate planning and it was a wonderful experience! He is so knowledgeable and communicates in a friendly and approachable manner that helps you to understand all of the benefits between wills and trusts. This helped up to make a more informed decision that we felt really good about. Before starting this process, we felt overwhelmed and put off taking the actions to get it done. However with Todd's expertise and guidance, we realized it was actually easy and wondered why it took us so long to do it! Thank you Todd and we look forward to continuing to work with you!

I asked Todd to assist my wife's parents and he was amazing. He helped them with their will and Powers of Attorney and met them at the house and the nursing home where my father-in-law was at the time. My wife and I and my in-laws were all extremely pleased with the professionalism he showed throughout. The fee he asked for his services was a fraction of what another attorney quoted them. Extremely fair in today's market. He is a gentleman in all regards. Thank you Todd for helping to take care of my family!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
