I had a very complicated federal case with many moving parts, and had a good deal of odds stacked against me. Damian was able to help me in so many ways that made my legal process much more bearable, comfortable, and he set me up for a chance to have the best possible outcome. He set up and negotiated my surrender, got me released on bond in my arraignment, and I spent the absolute minimal time in jail. He advised me the best course for pretrial to make sure that I was prepared and had taken the correct measures to present myself over time awaiting court. His negotiation skills are unmatched. He fought hard for my case, and he was able to get almost all of my charges dismissed in my plea agreement. I felt prepared during the plea process and confident that I was getting the best deal. Even up until the sentencing, Damian worked to get my sentence reduced and had an even lesser time than my initial plea worked out. During my sentencing, Damian really took the time to express every factor to the judge and he spoke well on my behalf. I felt that every angle and attribute was addressed and he truly represented me as a person. Damian really put himself out there for me and gave me a quality defense. Although he proved beyond competent through my entire case, he came through for me even more in court where it mattered most and my case that had me initially up against more years than lifetimes was reduced to probation. He got me the best possible results the entire way all the way through to the end. I am glad that I put my trust in Damian and he did not let me down. He fights hard, knows how to negotiate, and is unequalled in the courtroom.

These guys were amazing and did everything we asked of them. Their team is top notch. They answered all of my questions and did everything to get my family back together.

Poor communication, poor follow through, did not show for last hearing, make excuses. Attorney Bailey seemed inexperienced.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
