5.0 out of 5 stars

After taking my chances with two previous attorneys and coming very close to an unacceptable situation with the court system, I had to quickly discontinue the relationship with a previous attorney. I found and put my trust in Saunders & Associates, APC. Saunders & Associates, APC accomplished what other attorneys told me they could not do.

These guys are complete scams. Vasili Papas is the ?cfo? Gary Saunders is supposedly the attorney and their license was suspended twice I looked it up on the California State Bars website. I submitted a complaint with the California State Bar and they are opening an investigation against this scammer. I paid them via wire $15,000 because they didn?t want to take a payment with a credit card reason why is because they would get a ton of chargebacks. I left several 7 emails and none of which they responded to and I called over 10 times and I also messaged them through the portal and they never responded. The assistant is useless and so is everyone in that firm. They leave me on hold every time I call in only to say that they are all busy. These 5 star reviews they have are all fake. They are total scammers. Do yourself a favor. Look them up first. Look up their license number you?ll see t was suspended for same issue I?m facing with them. They took disciplinary action again this firm because they collect payment and don?t do the work. They pretend to be the worlds most available law firm when you are about to submit payment but once you pay they never call you or email you. I asked for a refund 3 days after I wired them because I saw other reviews on other websites pertaining to this firm and saw how many people were saying that their license was suspended because they only collect payment and they don?t do the work. Vasili reached out to me via email and told me that they could only refund me $2,000. All they did was look up the address of the person who I was attempting to sue. Stay away from them and make sure to look them up on the California state bar website first. You?ll thank me later and pay them with a credit card for your protection.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
