The Law Office of Brian Jones was the first place I turned after finding myself facing criminal charges. From a professional and personal position, this team is the best in Delaware and one of the top firms in Central Ohio. The entire staff are beyond helpful. They were there to dissect the details and guide me through my case. They were supportive and understanding, and gave me and my family encouragement when we needed it. Highly recommend!!!

It?s really hard at last minute to find a good stand up lawyer. I was in that situation a few years ago and found Brian. Very stand up guy was there for me and my family through everything. We actually became good friends because of all of this. I would use him again in a heart beat no matter how far of a drive it was

Brian Jones at the Law office of Brian jones. I couldn't thank you and your staff enough for all your hard work to myself and each of my cases. You and your staff were very helpful, kind, and were always available when I had a question. You always got back with me in a timely manner. You always reassured me about things I was uncertain about. Unlike other attorneys, you listened to the things I said and addressed each and every question or concern I presented you with. You went into the court room every time with fierce confidence. Each case was a success! I was able to have all 3 cases resolved without having a trial, convictions, and most importantly keeping a clean record. Thank you to you and your staff for your excellent service!

If you want the highest quality legal representation, Brian Jones in Delaware, Ohio is a World-Class criminal defense attorney in my experience. He has been part of the best trial training program in America and has the experience to back it up. He fights hard because he was falsely accused in his youth and knows what it's like to face the criminal justice system alone. He has been awarded the President's Commendation for Outstanding Service for his support of his clients no matter what and will work hard to defend you from the beginning to the very end. This criminal defense firm is smart, tough, tech-savvy, and I am confident there is no crime charge they can't help you with. If you have been accused of a misdemeanor, felony, sex crime, or are looking for someone to help you for your loved one, get the very best lawyer on your side.

The Law Office of Brian Jones was absolutely ON IT! throughout my case. Every staff member I spoke with was attentive and answered my questions or forwarded them to the attorneys for clarification. On several occasions Attorney Jones called me from the road to answer questions and reassure me and my family when we were most distressed - once even on his way to a funeral out of State. He was always professional and never backed down from the prosecutor's office. This firm is the very best. Thank you to The Law Office of Brian Jones and his team for fighting for my rights, and for anyone who is falsely accused or needs help standing up for their rights. Most of all thank you for fighting for my family.

In regards to Brian Jones and his Law firm, worst Attorneys I've ever dealt with in Ohio. I was facing Misdemeanor charges which I was acquitted of after several Continuances with a Public Defender. I contacted this firm immediately after I was facing false allegations and was told it would be $4,000 up front for a Retainer. I paid Brian and his "team" all to be facing several Continuances and a weak plea deal of a single Charge and Probation-$4,000!! Brian then proceeded to ask for another $4,000 to start a Family/Child matter even though his firm doesn't specialize in this practice. He then asked for another Continuance however, during this time, it went to Jury and of course asked for another $4,000 for "prep" a week before the trial. Chris then reached out as well as Chaz and stated if I didn't have this paid upfront, they'd be dropping my case. I then asked specifically for Brian since now he was dodging my numerous calls/texts where he reiterated the same thing. I then told Brian I was firing them for incompetence/unprofessionalism all for them to try to charge a total of $12,000 for nothing to show for. I'm grateful for continuing to be a returning citizen with my Not Guilty verdicts no thanks to Brian Jones Law Firm llc and definitely wouldn't think to contact them at all. Save yourself some time, headache and overall money.

As Mr. Saxon acknowledges in his review, a plea offer was made based on negotiations I engaged leveraging my experience and reputation with the prosecutor. The offer came after my office had spent nearly twenty-eight hours with Mr. Saxon and his case and Attorney Jones was fully prepared for trial, which more than accounts for the $4,000.00 he paid. Three continuances were filed by our office in the case. The first was filed because Mr. Saxon had failed to secure representation until seven days before his final pre-trial and jury trial. The second was filed because the court scheduled the next hearing date for a time Attorney Jones was attending continuing legal education outside of Ohio. The third was because Mr. Saxon had refused to pay his trial fee, but was "considering" doing so. Ultimately, Mr. Saxon was convicted of an offense related to his conduct despite the false information contained in his review. Please see 19CRB02216 in the Delaware Ohio Municipal Court for the conviction of Daniel Saxon of 150 Tarryton Court W, Columbus, Ohio 43228. When Mr. Saxon rejected the plea offer, we reminded him that he chose a tiered payment structure at the outset of the case. We had advised him that the results he wanted would likely require a trial, but he refused to listen to our advice and chose the fee option that was more expensive because he though the charge would "just go away". When our advice proved accurate, Mr. Saxon refused to meet the terms of the agreement he had made at the beginning of our relationship. While the agreed trial fee was originally to be the time my firm invested in the case, I felt sympathy for Mr. Saxon and offered him a second chance of paying a flat fee for the trial. He refused to pay the trial fee claiming he lacked funds to do so. As such, we were required to withdraw from representation. As for the remaining allegation, Mr. Saxon also demanded that we represent him on his custody matter. At that time, we accepted domestic relations cases (we no longer accept these cases), and we offered him a reduced retainer of $4,000.00 to begin work on that separate case. We had detailed to him in our initial consultation that he would likely be involved in domestic litigation over the custody of his child and that would be a separate matter with a separate fee and he expressed that he understood. When he repeatedly asked for advice on the domestic matter, Attorney Jones had to screen his calls. He was demanding, threatening, and aggressive when Mr. Jones refused to help him with his custody matter free of charge. His behavior related to the domestic relations matter contributed to our office's decision to terminate Mr. Saxon as a client. We are happy Mr. Saxon was acquitted of the Domestic Violence and Assault charges he faced. We have attempted to contact him multiple times to discuss his concerns and he's refused to answer or respond to our calls. We continue to wish him the best of luck in overcoming the obstacles that placed him in the predicament that brought him to our office and we continue to extend an offer to discuss his case and our representation.

Brian has a passion for the law and what's right. I came to him for a legal matter and he helped me, by pointing me in the right direction.

Ridiculous billing procedures. Took advantage of us in the most vulnerable time of our lives. Completely disrespectful to other attorneys when confronted about billing procedures. Waited an entire year to send another bill which included a ridiculous amount of late fees.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
