We cannot say enough about Mr. Vernon and his service! He handled a very long, complicated case with such ease, understanding and professionalism. Thankful and grateful for our experience with Mr. Sumwalt. He was extremely real about the expectations of our case. He proceeded with what others were unsure where to begin, and after a 20 year delay in helping our father we were lucky to have such a caring lawyer that explained the process, the roadblocks we could face and yet the hope that we had. We would recommend him a million times over!

Mr. Sumwalt and his paralegal, Kimberly Durkee, helped me every step of the way during my Worker's Compensation case. They were extremely accessible- always responding to my emails, texts, and phone calls.I also really appreciate all of the help and guidance they gave me during my fairly lengthy recovery period. I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing similar representation in the future.

I must say I am so impressed by Vernon Sumwalt's commitment to the work he does for injured workers! He is honest about where he sees the trajectory of your case based on the facts as it pertains to the law! I missed his call on a Friday afternoon and he called me back after office hours the same day! He has incredible knowledge of workmen's comp laws in our state and if he doesn't take my case I will be forever grateful for the time he took to attentively listen when a number of attorneys are too busy and have their paralegal or assistant gather information to determine if a case is "worthy" of their time. I highly recommend Attorney Sumwalt if you need competent and solid legal representation!!

I never thought in a million years I would ever need a workman?s compensation lawyer, but when I did Vernon came recommended very highly from a very trusted and reliable source. From the beginning Vernon explained the process to me and how things would happen. When I had questions, he was always there to answer them for me. Vernon is very honest, down to earth, and caring person who kept me in the loop about my case. I do not think you will find a more down to earth lawyer who actually has compassion for his clients like Vernon. I would use him again without a doubt.

I have know Vernon Sumwalt for many years. I practiced in the field of Social Security disability over 40 years. I presented many continuing legal education seminars with Vernon. He is one of the most knowledgeable attorneys I have worked with. Further, he is well respected among his peers and the Courts. When I needed a lawyer to handle my husband's personal injury case, Vernon was the lawyer I chose. If I had a client that needed a lawyer for Workers Compensation or personal injury, Vernon Sumwalt was my go-to lawyer. I trusted him for my husband's case and for my clients. He gives his clients personal attention and works hard to provide a successful outcome. He is an honest, hard working individual who sincerely cares about his clients.

I had a lengthy conversation with Mr. Sumwalt and he answered all of my questions with so much patience. I did not feel rushed in any way and I learned that he seemed to have extensive knowledge of the law. Years ago I had an issue that required the assistance of an attorney. I unfortunately had a lawyer that provided the wrong advice and left my family worse off. That experience taught me what to look for and expect in an effective attorney going forward. During our 1st consultation, it was clear to me that Vernon was engaged and knowledgeable. I was referred to Vernon and the Sumwalt Group by the president of my union following an on the job injury. Seeking Vernon's counsel has truly proved to be the best decision I could've made. I don't know why it seems as if the company goes out of their way to make this process difficult for the worker. Knowing what to say, when to say it and to whom to speak to regarding your workers comp claim can be the difference between your claim go through smoothly or going horribly wrong. I am thankful that Vernon made me feel as though I had a partner, helping me through this process.

When I asked a close friend and recently retired attorney who I should turn to for help with my workers comp claim he without hesitation recommended Vernon Sumwalt. My initial consultation with Vernon was highly informative and I found him both personable and professional. He gave me a good idea what to expect with my case and a timeline for progress. Communication with he and his team was seamless and all my questions were answered promptly. Whenever we spoke he began by inquiring about my recovery, treatment and physical therapy. Vernon and his team at Sumwalt Group brought my case full circle to a beneficial outcome which I could never have achieved on my own. I still speak with Vernon whenever I have a legal question and I consider him a friend.
