Brenda and her team (big shout out to Olivia) guided me through a long and difficult process. They were tough when they needed to be, but ALWAYS professional. They made me feel very supported and were very encouraging. They helped me to understand concepts and consequences. I would highly recommend them!

Exceptional Service Brenda was a life saver. She not only helped me figure out how to best navigate my divorce legally, she was very compassionate and considerate during this difficult time in my life. She is extremely an exceptional Attorney!! She was always very timely in returning emails, calls and any questions that I had throughout the process. Her paralegal Rachel is fantastic, on top of everything very supportive and extremely knowledgeable! Olivia too! I would hire her again without any reservations. Brenda is the best and will fight for you! Highly recommend her!!!

I hired Brenda for my divorce after she was highly recommended to me by a lifelong friend. This review has been a long time coming, the opposing party just wanted to drag things out, Brenda and her staff worked extremely hard to have this case finished and come up with an extremely favorable outcome. Amazing is what I can say about Brenda, she is an excellent communicator, incredibly brilliant, savvy, experienced, tough and prepared. Her calm, professional and empathetic demeanor offered emotional succor to myself and those I care about most during a most difficult divorce. Brenda has the mental toughness to get the job done, she impressed me at every turn.I could literally see that the court had confidence in how she practiced her profession. In closing, Brends is ?A force to be reckoned with?, I was fortunate to have her on my team. My ex needed a second attorney just to keep up! It was a battle, but I am very happy with the results. Thank you.

Brenda and Olivia helped me with my divorce and we're always responsive and reliable. We had to deal with a few different states because I am Active Duty Military and they both handled the case flawlessly. Would recommend to anyone. Great value and they were always willing to explain questions that I had and make sure that I understood the process. If you are going through family law issues this is who you want working for you.

Brenda is an intelligent, tenacious, and persuasive attorney, while maneuvering for the best results. Her patience provides insulation against problematic attorneys. Brenda makes the process livable, while maintaining graceful effectiveness. Additionally, her Legal Assistant Olivia provides guidance for the acquisition of all the required documents and keeping you abreast of the case. I highly recommend Brenda, and her Legal Assistant Olivia providing respect and professionalism through a difficult time.

Brenda helped me with 2 separate cases, a child support case that then followed with a custody case. Thanks to Brenda?s knowledge, I was well informed of the process and there were no surprises. Brenda was so amazing overall; so dedicated, intuitive and she truly had my sons best interest at heart. Through the process I emailed very often with questions and evidence to help my case. In my opinion, it was an overwhelming amount of evidence I presented her with, but she graciously combed through every email and reminded me that she preferred me to keep her informed. When my husband or I reached out to her office for questions, her Paralegal Olivia was always very pleasant and communicated any concerns to Brenda while she was at court and could not reply at that instant. Brenda called and emailed me back promptly whenever I reached out with questions/concerns. I really appreciate that Brenda is also very knowledgeable, she never led me to unrealistic expectations and always tried to prepare me for the next stage in the process. And in the courtroom, Brenda is a SHARK! My husband and I were very impressed on how she represented my case, she is assertive and so professional all at once. Our case was finalized yesterday and we are very happy with the outcome, it is fair, reasonable and I feel that my sons thoughts and feelings were validated. I couldn?t recommend Brenda more!!! She is definitely someone you want to represent you, she truly has your back and best interest at heart.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
