Naples Attorney Beverly Brennan

it is a good idea to be represented by an experienced attorney. I appreciate your taking the time to review my qualifications, which are listed below, and I believe that once you do, you will want me to assist you during this difficult time in your life.

  • I graduated with honors from Western New England College School of Law in 1986
  • I have been a member of the Massachusetts Bar since 1986, and a member of the Florida Bar since 2001
  • In Massachusetts, I practiced criminal defense law, representing clients charged with everything from misdemeanors and traffic offenses to major felonies
  • After my admission to the Florida Bar, I was appointed to the State Attorney’s Office, where I was a prosecutor for three and a half years in both Lee and Collier Counties
  • I have handled dozens of jury trials and hundreds of non-jury trials, both as a prosecutor and as a defense attorney
  • I am also a member of the Federal Bar and am admitted to practice before the District of Massachusetts, the Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Supreme Court

I would be pleased to assist you with your current situation. Please call my office at any time for an appointment.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
