These discussions typically revolve around the case itself, the amount of evidence available for or against the charges brought, and also the defendant’s overall status and criminal history. In the process, we also look for any technicalities that will result in getting the case dismissed.

If a resolution cannot be achieved through plea bargaining, the case usually proceeds to trial where the issue of guilt or innocence is left to a jury or a judge. While the decision to go to trial on a case should never be taken lightly, there are times when it is absolutely necessary to go to trial. This decision is ultimately left to the client. We will counsel and guide our client so that he or she knows all the consequences involved in the decision. Once a client decides it is in his best interest to go to trial, we will use all of our resources to defend our client at every stage of the trial.
