JK was amazing from start to finish. My husband was falsely accused in a criminal case and JK provided amazing advice and fought for my husband every step of the way. The victims statement was eventually recanted and JK's counsel on what my husbands rights were was always on point. It was a long 9 months that our family was seperated but I always felt confident with having JK Goldberg as an attorney. Great attentive lawyer who you can call and ask for advice when feeling unsure of things.

My experience from day one working with J.K Goldberg was amazing relief! It has been absolute clarity, respect, and confidence. At the most disheartening time in my life, where trust was essential, our communication never faltered. I was consistently reassured and given hope and never once had to doubt if things were being executed at the highest level. If you are looking for experience at the highest level and need representation that will fight for you and are not consumed with greed..work with the guys that will work with you! I highly recommend Goldberg & Allen L.L.P

Jay was recommended to me by a friend in NY this spring after a legal issue from more than 10 years ago popped up when I was applying for a license. I retained Jay and he went down to court house the following day and pulled my file. After reviwing the case we went through the options and I met him in NYC the following month. I was concerned with the possible outcomes, but Jay was able to negotiate with the DA and after getting the warrant vacated and my issue resolved, he convinced the judge to remove the original plea of criminal misdemeanor from my record! I strongly recommend Jay Goldberg and couldn't be happier with his services. Jay is very professional and was able to resolve my issue in a very timely manner at a reasonable cost.

Hi Jay: I would like to thank you for all you have done, in the Queen's County case. You were always approchable, ready to answer my questions and very logical in your answers. I am happy that you were able to pull the unthinkable without going to a lengthy and painful trial. I will have highest regard to the professionalism that you showed in this case. Lastly I would not hesitate to recommend you for any one who needs your services. Sri

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
