Allstate is the worst insurance company to deal with and I've been in a fair share of accidents in my driving lifetime. Half my fault and half not my fault - all of which were handled as they should have been. This last accident being with an Allstate driver has been horrendous. Their driver hit me and my daughter, we have a witness to the accident saying it was the other driver's fault and Allstate still denied my bodily injury claim. I had to hire an attorney because I need months of therapy for my injuries. I refuse to pay for that when IT WAS NOT MY FAULT!! Their claims adjusters probably go through no training and are just told Deny deny deny. I want to say how do you not put yourself in someone else's shoes when you are in the customer service industry? Would Amanda Standige (Allstate adjuster who denied my claim) like it if she or someone she loved was injured in a not at fault accident and then refused compensation?? Do the right thing, Allstate. If you get into an accident with an Allstate driver, hire an attorney. Don't even bother trying to do it yourself thinking they will do the right thing. They won't. I am out a car as mine was totaled and have injuries that require therapy. Shame on them and I predict them going down in the near future as I know MANY customers who have jumped ship and continue to jump ship. Now what could have been handled and over with last week is now going to be drawn out and cost Allstate more than had they settled with me personally.

YOUR CHEAP, SLIMY ADS USING MR MAYHEM ARE TOTALLY HORSESHIT. WE WOULD NEVER PURCHASE INSURANCE FROM A COMPANY THAT IS WILLING TO STOOP SO LOW. ONLY, THE LOW LIFE, TINA FEY WOULD ENDURE GETTING HER FACE LICKED FOR MONEY PURE SCUM.

It?s been 2 months and we decided not to get lawyers into this accident all we want is the car fixed or totaled and the medical bills paid. Every time we try to see how Anne Mullins who answered us once and didn?t seem to care about doing her job would either not answer if we tried to check up on how things were going or hang up. We?ve been way to patient.. if it?s going to take this long we might as well get a lawyer into this matter. Horrible service!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
