Having more than 45 years of experience, Ron Mullin and the other members of the Mullin Law Firm have helped people protect aging loved ones and family legacies. At our office in Concord, California, we counsel clients through complex estate planning procedures. Our attorneys are highly skilled in analyzing family situations and drafting documents that provide the tools for dealing with the multitude of situations that may arise, such as handling assets and heath care decisions. These documents include wills, trusts, advance health care directives, conservatorships and powers of attorney. We also routinely assist with probate and estate administration to ensure that family wishes are honored.
Beyond our focus on estate planning, our law firm offers representation for broader elder law matters. Using our deep knowledge of Medi-Cal long term care eligibility, estate recovery lien avoidance and other regulations, we help clients protect and care for aging loved ones while legally preserving assets. Our attorneys also handle inheritance litigation issues involving trustees, executors and administrators. Whenever possible, we seek to resolve disputes through informal discussions or mediation to avoid going to trial. But if the situation demands aggressive representation at trial, we are ready! We work with our clients, listen to them and counsel them on decisions that achieve their goals and provide value to them.
In addition to elder and estate matters, we handle select business and commercial law cases. We have helped entrepreneurs and business owners form entities, including corporations, partnerships, limited liability partnerships and limited liability companies. Our attorneys also assist with the drafting and negotiation of contracts. If necessary, we intervene in disputes and also litigate business matters. Mullin Law Firm welcomes clients from the greater Contra Costa County area, including the cities of Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville, San Ramon, Lafayette, Orinda, Martinez and Pleasant Hill. We provide detailed monthly bills and accept Visa, MasterCard and PayPal as an accepted form of payment.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
