Customer Reviews for Galante & Matthews

Hired Law firm 2023The law firm of Galante & Matthews, ESQS was considered for producing our WILL following a recommendation from a close family friend. Moreover, the requirements for drafting our WILL were eventually placed with Donald G. Matthews, ESQ of the firm. My wife and I met Mr. Matthews in his law offices in Wayne, NJ where our information was shared towards providing the basis for our Last WILL & Testament, Durable Power of Attorney. as well as an Advance Directive for Health Care. From the moment we joined Mr. Matthews at his conference table, it became clear that our wishes and interests would be prioritized in a manner that we could comprehend. Mr. Matthews never hesitated to field all of our questions responding in a direct, clear, comprehensive manner. (Prior to meeting Mr. Matthews, we had met, separately, with two other law firms, both of which did not possess the basic ability to communicate with us.) With this review, Mr. Donald G. Matthews, ESQ receives the highest recommendations for possessing the ability to have his clients come away from his conference table with a strong feeling of trust, respect, and accomplishment.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
