0.5 out of 5 stars

As an educator I contacted this Law firm requesting a $200 donation to buy 200 pocket constitutions to pass out to the general public to inform them of their rights as Americans. In lieu of that I requested 200 or 100 pocket constitutions that the law firm may already have in their possession. The woman who answered the phone said no. And I said no you do not have any pocket constitutions? And she said we don't need any. in sum I would steer clear and run far away from this Law firm. they evidently use their own Constitution they invented and know nothing about American constitutional law. Evidently this Law firm is unwilling to educate Americans ostensibly to be sure the Grigson version of the Constitution is the only ones that they use. This Law firm does not care if you know anything about the Constitution. Because as the woman who answered their phone said and I quote "we don't need one". I vehemently do not recommend using this Law firm for anything related to the US Constitution.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
