Consulted Law firm 2020I found this law ‘firm’ to be rude and very unprofessional. I was given ineffective advice..TWICE concerning my legal issue, which is a “CIVIL” and NOT “Med-Mal” case as was suggested. After contacting a well known attorney who specifically handles Medical Malpractice cases, who took the time and was gracious enough to LISTEN and INFORM me that mine was a CIVIL MATTER, I re-called the firm to alert them of their incompetence. But my calls went ‘unanswered’ each time being told “he left for the day!” Even after leaving several voicemails, I WAS IGNORED.. No, I would not recommend this law firm for ANY matter..civil, medical or any other kind.

Hired Law firm 2018-2020I hired Sandy Engel for representation in a family matter. Sandy has a tremendous amount of experience and served as my beacon of hope when the odds were stacked up against me. He held me accountable for my actions and wasn't afraid to be demanding when necessary. Sandy not only provided excellent service throughout the duration of my case but was able to help me achieve my goal. I recommend this firm and Sandy to anyone in need of flawless representation.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
