5.0 out of 5 stars

i had a wonderful experience with this attorney & his staff.I actually spoke with the lady in this office in great detail. She asked for information to provide to the attorney but she also provided me with so much information. She helped me understand the whole process from the beginning until the attorney could step in and take over. Unfortunately, they were not able to help me with my case because i still had to complete some steps on my part but they were able to help a family member with their disability case. They helped my cousin & won his case. When im ready to start my disability case, I am definitely coming to them for help. Mr. Dopkin & his assistant know how to win social security cases! If you want to win your disability case, this is where you must go!

They refuse me services because I got upset that the lady was asking me the same questions over and over and I had to repeat the same exact thing as facts will not change by asking again. I told her I did not appreciate her not listening and she said it is part of collecting information, then asked "do you want help?" I said,''Yes but I expect you to be professional and listen." She hung up. I tried calling again with no answer. STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU WANT TO GO IN CIRCLES

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
