Daniel J. Buba is a Personal Injury Trial Lawyer who has litigated and tried a variety of personal injury cases, including semi-truck crashes, automobile accidents, cases involving traumatic brain injuries, and nursing home negligence.

Dan spent the first 12 years of his legal career primarily representing insurance companies and large corporations in defending personal injury and wrongful death claims. Having learned the battle from the defense side, Dan has a unique perspective as he tries to maximize recovery for those wrongfully injured and killed. As an Indianapolis personal injury attorney, Dan currently focuses on representing individuals who have been catastrophically injured and the families of those who have died in circumstances including interstate truck accidents, auto crashes, construction injuries, nursing home neglect/abuse, and traumatic brain injury.

Dan has maintained a practice in the Indianapolis area since 1994 and is active in the legal community on both the local and national level. He is Past President of the Indianapolis Bar Association, a past Chairman of the AAJ Trucking Litigation Group, and serves on the Board of Directors of the Brain Injury Association of Indiana and the Board of Regents of the Academy of Truck Accident Attorneys. He has authored numerous legal papers and lectures at local and national legal seminars.

Due to matters out of my hands, I was a client of Kyle's for over 3 years. I have little knowledge of insurance and the inner workings. Kyle went out of his way to assist me multiple times and help make things right between a battle with various insurance companies involved. The amount of time we have spent together in person and over the phone I feel like Kyle and I could go have a beer now! An exceptional legal professional with a great team behind him! Dawn and Erica were excellent to work with as well. Dawn was always quick to lend a helping hand or get the information that I request. I hope that I never have to deal with a situation like this again, but if god forbid I do, I will choose Kyle and his team every time!

I would recomend Kyle Ring for an attorney as he's knowledgeable and very easy to talk to on a one to one level. Kyle explained the entire process and helped prepare me for a deposition that we had with the insurance company.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
