Consulted Law firm 2023-2024After many unanswered emails and voicemails they are still sending mail and officers to my home after I've already sent them a death certificate for my grandfather. I would never recommend this law firm. Highly unprofessional and non-responsive.

Consulted Law firm 2023I had a very disappointing experience with this law firm's customer service, particularly at the front desk. I was assisting my mother, who doesn't speak English, with her case, and I called on her behalf. Unfortunately, the representative who answered the phone displayed a complete lack of professionalism. All I initially said was that I was calling for my non-English-speaking mother, and the response I received was an abrupt and rude, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN." I repeated myself, but the interaction only got worse. The representative demanded my mother's name with a curt, "WHAT IS HER NAME? I CAN'T HELP YOU IF YOU DON'T GIVE ME HER NAME." I attempted to address the rudeness, explaining that there was no need for such behavior. To my astonishment, the representative became angry and hung up, concluding with an unprofessional "girl bye." Frankly, this behavior seemed more fitting for a high school setting than a professional law firm. I sincerely hope that this review reaches the management of the company. It is imperative that they take immediate action to address these concerning issues and provide proper training to their employees. Treating people with respect and demonstrating good manners should be basic expectations for anyone working in a customer-facing role. It's unclear whether the representative was having a bad day or dislikes their job, but their behavior was entirely unacceptable. As a potential client or anyone seeking assistance, one expects professionalism, courtesy, and respect from a law firm, and I hope this feedback helps the firm improve its customer service standards.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
