Mr JR Beatty looked over my paperwork & said he could help me. I paid him in full that day, Over a year ago!! After my salon was shut down when the Globe was on Fire!! I was told it 'could take a few months bcuz, you know..Covid. I was Absolutely Gob-stoggled! to finally pull enough teeth from Brenda Brown to learn that the Law Office of MBA had mailed out Sign & Return; Notarized, paperwork..Regular Mail! Who does this?? @$7.20 per? x3? I put down $1,000.00 and this guy throws my paperwork to the wind, has NO way of discerning who received What?! while he mouths the words 'Covid-19'? Can he say "Ethical"? LoL! Apparently, JR doesn't have much to say at all these days as he has refused to return a call or email in 6 months...... My Bad, huh?

I am highly recommending this Law firm. Because of the professionalism and service I received from Mr. Alcozer and his paralegal Irma. The process of getting my Social Security disability approved and done in the timely manner that was promised was outstanding.

I was disapprove for Social Security Disability on August 12 2020. My Friend recommended Michalk, Beatty & Alcozer Law Office. I completed my forms on line his assistant Alma called me to setup appointment time she explained what can happen and how long at could take, Mr Alcozer went over my disapproval letter from Social Security Administration also my medical records for disability and asked me some questions about my disability and decided to take my case he explained that it could take up to 6 to 12 months. He refiled my paper work to Social Security Administration for a relook at my case. We filed the paper work on 12 August 2020 and my case was awarded on the 3 April 2020 it was less than 12 month's. I Highly recommend Mr. Alcozer for your Social Security Disability his staff was polite and friendly. Mr. Alcozer law firm and staff were awesome. I again say I Highly recommend this law firm (Michalk, Betty & Alcozer, L.P.).

I completed online form & was contacted by Mr Alcozer?s legal assistant, Irma. My question was regarding submitting disability online. Irma explained what to do, what to expect & when to contact them. So I was prepared when I was denied the first two times. The third time is when Mr Alcozer & Irma became involved to submit all information to the Judge & prepared me for the hearing before the Judge. Filing for disability is a very long, drawn out procedure & one must be prepared for much repetition of completing forms & submitting. When it came time for my hearing, Irma worked diligently & so efficiently to make sure everything was in order. Mr Alcozer prepared me so well how to answer questions, how to dress, how to present myself. I honestly do not think I would have finished what I started without them beocause it is very difficult & so very drawn out that is quite frustrating. My outcome was excellent! I would highly suggest them! They are very experienced & you should really listen & follow their advice because this is their expertise. I am very blessed because of them.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
