We could not have found a better lawyer to be part of our story to grow our family through adoption. Seth is extremely knowledgable and able to clearly articulate what is happening throughout the ever-evolving process. We are so thankful for Seth becoming our trusted partner through the highs and lows of the adoption journey.

My family has been represented by Seth Grob twice in adoption matters and both times, we were served well -- with professionalism, skill, and compassion. Seth works effectively, efficiently, and comprehensively. He provides sound advice, clear information, and focused representation. If you are contemplating adoption, you must contact Seth. My family has been served very well by him and I am grateful that we now have a well-established relationship and two adoptions on the record!

Hiring Seth Grob to represent us for our interstate custody and adoption case is one of the best decisions we made! It was money well spent. Seth has a stellar reputation in family and adoption law. Seth was honest and transparent throughout the process, which I really value. He was always respectful and prepared. When we were in court, it was evident that he is a known entity and well-respected within the judicial system. He is a very experienced attorney and very comfortable in this area of family law. Before each proceeding, Seth would schedule a time to meet with us and prepare us for testifying and to set expectations for the proceedings. He did not over-promise, but he was definitely reassuring. We felt prepared at every step and felt confident in our legal representation. Seth?s knowledge and expertise are at the top of his profession. In addition to his legal experience, he contributed to many of the statutes and regulations in the state of Colorado and has lectured extensively on these topics. Seth is a known entity and a valuable attorney and counsel. I would highly recommend him and would absolutely hire him again.

We hired Seth from Grob and Eirich to help with an adoption subsidy negotiation. He was both very professional and knowledgeable about the entire subsidy process. We were able, through Seth's leadership and direction, to get a get subsidy package that will allow us to better care for our little one as he gets older. Hiring Seth was well worth the money. It wasn't easily coming up with the money for the retainer, but I am glad we did and it was worth it in the end.

My adoption experience (private adoption) was relatively difficult, as it was an Indian Child Welfare Act case, with other challenging factors. Seth Grob was my attorney, and I found him to be the most reliable participant in the entire process. Seth was detail oriented in every single communication, as well as with all paperwork. He advised me at appropriate points throughout the process, and even paved the way to work with another attorney who had even more expertise with my type of case (which was not needed in the end). He managed communications with other attorneys/participants well, and I believe we may not have succeeded in our adoption had it not been for Seth. I would gladly work with him again, and recommend him wholeheartedly.

Seth handled our infant adoption case which was complicated going from one state to another (Wyoming to Colorado). He was super knowledgable and helped us along every step of the way. There for a few months it was looking like we were going to have to go to court/litigation, due to our incarcerated birth father fighting the adoption. Thank goodness everything ended up working out and we didn't have to go to court after all, but we could tell we were in good hands with Seth if we had. He made a very scary situation more manageable by talking us through all possible outcomes.

We are very pleased with the service we received from Attorney Seth Grob. We submitted an inquiry to his practice and received outreach immediately to schedule a consultation. My wife and I wanted to start a family and decided IVF was the right route for us. She carried our child and the child is biologically hers. Seth informed us that a confirmatory adoption would be the best option for us and we proceeded with that route. From the time of the consultation to the complete processing of our confirmatory adoption, it was only two weeks. The required paperwork was easy to complete and we were able to conduct the entire process virtually which worked very well for us. As an LGBT couple, we were grateful to find an attorney that was so efficient, inclusive, and accessible for us. We would recommend his assistance and practice to other couples in a similar position to us.

We hired Seth about 10 months ago and couldn't be happier with the outcome. He was always incredibly professional, responsive, and explained the legal process in a simple way. Our adoption was pretty unique and he was creative in his problem solving as a few challenges arose throughout the process. We can't thank Seth enough - and are very grateful we retained his services.

We discovered Mr. Seth Grob after reading other reviews and feel we needed to add to his already stellar reputation. My wife and I contacted Mr. Grob as we knew our adoption was going to be lengthy with a lot of court proceedings - we were not wrong. Mr. Grob was amazing during our court proceedings, extremely thorough during our trial, and was extremely strong and confident during the appeal process; through all this, the communication from himself and his team was always prompt and to the point. If we decided to go through an adoption process again, we will again have great confidence in contacting Mr. Grob knowing that our case is in great hands. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank Mr. Grob for the outstanding work that he provided for us and are grateful for the outcome of our adoption.

My family was dealing with a complex and unusual situation involving my two kiddos. I have Cancer and needed to plan for ongoing care for the kids if I pass away, but unfortunately the kids' father was not a viable future caregiver given a history of abusive behavior toward them. Hence, the case called for a lawyer who could think outside the box, come up with the best legal solution, and work effectively with various family members along with myself. Throughout the process, Seth was compassionate, considerate of the fact that I was sick & actively in chemotherapy, very clear and thorough in all of his verbal and written communications, and always responded to my questions in a timely fashion. Another attorney that works for Seth, Kate, also was a pleasure to work with. Ultimately, Seth helped me set up legal co-guardianship for my kids with their Grandmother and Uncle (my Mother and Brother) that will activate if I am hospitalized for Oncology treatment/sickness or if I pass away. The peace of mind it brings me knowing that upon my death my kids' care will seamlessly be transferred to safe and loving relatives is enormous and hard to even express with words. Given the nuances and complexities of our particular situation, I was frankly amazed and so impressed with how efficiently, professionally and effectively Seth guided us through each step of the process. I trust him (and his entire firm) completely. I would not hesitate to use his services in the future and/or send family and friends to him if the need arose. Seth is a truly gifted and dedicated Attorney, along with being an all-around kind person.

Mr. Seth Grob was a tremendous help with arranging our child adoption. My wife and I were at first hesitant about going forward with our out-of-state situation. However, Seth put our minds at ease and guided us every step of the way.

Seth helped my husband and I with an adoption that both was interstate and international (one parent in US and one in another country). We were matched to a birth mom later in her pregnancy. Our adoption became complicated very quickly, and we were told to find a lawyer in our home state fast. We knew we needed a good lawyer but had no idea where to even look. Our adoption agency recommended Seth to us. We are BEYOND thankful that they did. Seth is very experienced, very knowledgeable, and very professional. Seth was always very clear and concise. Whenever we needed more explanation or had more questions, he was able to work with us and help us understand. When at critical crossroads in the process, Seth explained our options, weighed the pros and cons with us, and helped us decide on the best course of action. In our situation, we needed to rely heavily on lawyers in another state to do important things in a timely manner. Without a doubt, Seth was the one person on the case who pushed people to meet deadlines and communicate with all parties involved. Of all the people we needed to speak to and work with during our adoption journey, Seth was the one we trusted the most and whose opinion we most valued. My husband and I highly recommend Seth and his team. They delivered and over delivered in every way!

My husband and I found Seth Grob during a very stressful and trying time in our lives. We had been unsuccessfully trying to build our family and finally reached the point at which we required a surrogate to finish our journey. I had spent hours upon hours researching surrogacy and all that it entailed prior to speaking with Seth. Despite my research, I was floored after speaking with Seth and furiously writing down all the questions I needed to find answers to questions I had never even considered! Seth was so incredibly knowledgeable and well versed in all the minute details required to write a robust surrogacy contract for the equal protection of myself, my husband, my future child, and my sister. Not only was Seth knowledgeable, but he was very personable and pleasant to speak with. Our phone conversations were both productive and nice. It may seem like a minor thing to mention in the wake of all the life-altering legal things we had to discuss, but it was important to me. I never felt as if he was rushing to get me off the phone to go service another client. I always heard the care and concern in his voice during our contract discussions and that meant a lot to me considering the weight of the stress I was already experiencing. And, finally, turn around time to speak with him was always minimal. He responded to emails quickly & efficiently. I have zero complaints and would hire him in a heartbeat again if we chose to expand our family further.

Mr. Grob and his team are fantastic. I sought his assistance with completing a step/second parent adoption of my son, and Mr. Grob did in three months what two other lawyers couldn?t do in three years. His expertise and true knowledge of the law made the adoption process seamless from start to finish.

Seth has been a tremendous partner and advocate during our adoption process. He has clearly done this many, many, many times before and handled everything with ease. From what I've learned, he's basically written the laws for adoption in CO so you couldnt work with a better attorney.

We hired Seth Grob and Kate Stafford to help with the guardianship and then adoption of our daughter. It was an international adoption with some complications, but they were incredibly efficient, effective and professional, and also very pleasant to deal with. The whole process was successfully resolved in months, and we would strongly recommend their services!

We have worked with Seth Grob twice now. The first time was when I was a surrogate, and Seth was representing the couple I was carrying the baby for. They loved working with Seth, and we found the process of finalizing the surrogacy contract to be fast and thorough. When my husband was ready to begin a step parent adoption for my oldest child, we decided to work with Seth based on the recommendation from the family I carried the baby for. Working with Seth and his colleague Kate was great! I have ADHD and sometimes need a little extra help with things like remembering tasks, but Seth and Kate made it easy and were very helpful and supportive. They made a process that had seemed a little scary for our family feel like a breeze. I would definitely work with them again if I ever have the need, and I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of family law support.

Seth was great! He did an amazing job taking over the adoption of my little girl. He worked swiftly to fix the many mistakes the previous agency I had been working with had made, and his matter-of-fact demeanor helped him to assert himself where-needed to get things done. Additionally, he was very thorough and made sure that no details were missed. His knowledge of laws pertaining to adoptions in Colorado was tremendous and he demonstrated savviness in navigating the legal system. I would highly recommend Seth to support other families pursuing an attorney to assist with their adoptions.

This firm strung us along, lied to us, then decided they wouldn't take our case and left us without legal representation just days before a court date.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
