Howard is the most dedicated and professional lawyer I have ever met. He answered all my questions professionally, dispelled my concerns and gave me hope. When I met him in the office, his patience, extensive legal knowledge and smart methods just convinced me that he was exactly the lawyer I was looking for! I was beyond impressed. He communicated in time with me and notified me of the progress quickly. His charge is very reasonable and his service goes well beyond what he charges. He fought so hard for the good outcome of my case from the day I contacted him and gave me the best result he could. Howard is very honest, smart, powerful, knowledgeable, effective and caring. He knows the criminal code like the back of his hand. I am very pleased with the level of care he took in his work. I am very thankful for the help he has provided me with. If I would refer to an attorney, I believe Howard is the best! I would strongly recommend him!

Howard did an amazing job with representing me at my sentencing matter. He took the time to study my case in such a short period time and got me the outcome I wanted.

10 years ago Howard saved our lives. He is a brilliant litigator, a real life Perry Mason who knows how to win. If you are in need of help, Howard is without question the legal representative you need to turn to. I am so grateful we did.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
