I had a great experience working with Arthur Sneider and Joe Sherman. Divorce is a very stressful process that takes away a lot of confidence and security. Arthur and Joe are not just excellent attorneys who are professional, responsive, knowledgeable, smart, but they are also amazing human beings who are compassionate, caring, wise, delicate, and very kind. I forever grateful for everything they've done for me and my family.

I am so grateful to have found Arthur and his firm to represent me through a very contentious and grueling divorce. Because of Arthur, we avoided trial and came to an incredible settlement, which is remarkable given where we were when I hired him. Arthur protected me every step of the way and wouldn't settle for anything less than what was in the best interest for me and my kids. He is very knowledgeable, personable, and knows the courts, mediators, judges, and parent coordinators well. Arthur truly gets it and understands what matters. He is extremely responsive and will get back to every email and text (at all hours) and make time for you if you have something urgent or pressing to discuss. It was a pleasure working with Arthur. I highly recommend Arthur and his team!

I highly recommend working with Arthur! He is professional, very passionate about his work and the rights of his clients. When you are blindsided by divorce and all your emotional resources are redirecting into making sure you and your kids are doing ok, you are not paying much attention to all the very important financial and parenting schedule details.  But Arthur IS paying attention and making sure that not just your present, but your future and the future of your kids are taken care of in a fair way. I can't even imagine where my family would be at this point without Arthur's help. The divorce wasn't my choice, but with Arthur's help I am able to move forward and have a stable financial foundation for my new life as a signal mom.  - Brookline mom

I can't say enough positive things about the team at Sneider Kellman, PC. Arthur Sneider and his team provided superb client service and guidance throughout my divorce case, which included challenging issues pertaining to child custody and support. With many years of varied experience, they are great listeners, negotiators and advocates, while also being pragmatic and realistic advisors. They understood quickly what was most important to me and always kept that at the forefront of their work. They were extremely responsive and I always felt more at ease during such a difficult personal time knowing they had my back. I would highly recommend them to anyone in need of family law assistance.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
