About Me

I have represented clients undergoing divorce, involved in personal injury actions, and facing criminal charges. I understand my clients need to be more than a file number, they need an attorney who will provide them the personal service they need to get them through a difficult time.

Free Consultation

Call me to arrange a phone consultation or a personal meeting to discuss your case, free of charge. If, after discussing the details of your case, we agree to work together, I will explain our fee agreement with you and go right to work preparing your case. Expect prompt and courteous service from at all times. Client satisfication is my goal.

Law Office Opens

The Law of Office of Brian R. Boney opened Dec. 1, 2005, in order to provide personal legal services to clients in Aurora, Colorado, and the Denver Metro area.

Brian R. Boney opened his solo practice after working for big firma representing clients involved in personal injury, divorce and criminal cases.
"I felt the best way of understanding and meeting my clients' needs, not just legal needs, was to start my own practice," Boney said. "You can't really do that when you have 50 case files at a big firm."

Boney serves clients in Denver County, Arapahoe County, Jefferson County, Douglas County, and Adams County, including the communities of Denver, Aurora, Englewood, Littleton, Centennial, Lakewood, Arvada, Westminster, Golden, Parker, Castle Rock, Brighton, and the Tech Center.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
