At Legacy Law Solutions, in Clemmons, North Carolina, I provide positive and powerful representation. I approach my clients with warmth and consideration while offering a solid background in persuasive legal advocacy developed during my 17 years of practice.

Please contact my office to schedule a consultation. Initial consultations in personal injury and wrongful death cases are free, and I handle such cases on a contingency basis.* In other areas of law, I base my fees on the type of case and the complexity of your legal issue.

I began practicing law in Ohio in 1989. In 1999, I moved to Clemmons, North Carolina, and was licensed to practice law immediately. It is a pleasure being part of this community, and I enjoy helping people find the best resolution to their legal problems.

Whether as an attorney or a member of the community, I always try to be a resource for my clients. In addition, I can often provide information on helpful programs offered in the communities, such as emotional and financial counseling. Clients are always welcome to seek my assistance, and I enjoy helping people. If I cannot help you I will attempt to point you in the right direction.

Experienced North Carolina Attorney and Certified Mediator

When I moved to the Piedmont Triad area of North Carolina, I brought with me the years of experience I gained while practicing law with my father in Ohio. My Dad taught me about the law, but more important, he taught me how to practice law the old-fashioned way: with true respect for my clients, the legal system, and everyone involved in it. He began practicing in 1950, and he made sure I understood that being a professional requires more than a law degree. It requires honesty, care, and cordiality.

While practicing in Ohio, I was appointed as the chair on a three-arbitration panel, hearing and deciding cases in a trial court. I focused my practice on criminal and civil trials, personal injury and wrongful death cases, family law, estate planning and administration, real estate law, collections, employment law, and small business law.

Since moving to Clemmons, I have narrowed my legal practice areas to personal injury, business and commercial contract law, probate and estate planning, speeding ticket and traffic citation defense, civil litigation, and mediation.

Following my admission to the North Carolina Bar, I became a certified mediator. Mediation, along with my significant experience in arbitration and litigation, brings a depth to my practice and gives my clients a wider range of options.

As a mediator, I have been appointed by the court to help litigants resolve their disputes in a manner agreeable to all parties. As a result of my experience both as a litigator and a mediator, my clients feel assured that I will guide them through the litigation process, ensure that their position is heard, and help them craft their own resolution to the dispute – a resolution they can live with.

As a lawyer, I represent clients in negotiations, transactions, settlements, and disputes, focusing on open communication and working with clients to help them understand their options and determine the best course of action to meet their goals.

I am a member of the North Carolina Bar Association, the Forsyth County Bar Association, the North Carolina Academy of Trial Lawyers, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America.

Although I reside in North Carolina, I am still licensed to practice law in Ohio and am also licensed to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. I am a member of the Cincinnati Bar Association and the Ohio State Bar Association. I keep up with my practice areas and changes in the law by attending continuing legal education seminars.

Whether you are seeking a friendly, perceptive Winston-Salem attorney to help you craft your will or need an aggressive trial lawyer to vigorously pursue your claim, please contact my Clemmons law office to schedule an appointment today. Weekend and evening appointments and off-site meetings are available.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
