5.0 out of 5 stars

I had the pleasure of enlisting Michael Stein as my divorce attorney - and it is one of the best choices I have made during my lifetime. He was quick, inventive, communicative, empathetic, and HE GOT THINGS DONE. He made an extremely painful and scary situation, as painless as it possibly could be - and I am forever thankful. Thank you Michael.

Michael was an excellent attorney and was always there for me at any time that I needed his advise. Michael was able to push for most of the things that I was requesting in my divorce. He was available on call and had a lot of divorce expertise. He assured me that he always had everything under control for my best interest.

Michael was extremely helpful throughout my entire case. From the consultation, and onward he was very thorough, extremely professional, courteous and responsive until the very last moment. He was more than knowledgeable and after giving me a brief rundown on how these hearings and casings usually turn out and I immediately knew that I?d want him to represent me. He guided me on the direction of how things should properly go and made suggestions and inputs when needed, when he felt they could help both myself and my case. Always willing to answer any questions or concerns that I?ve had throughout the process and if I was unable to reach him, he would be sure to respond quickly and within a very realistic and reasonable timeframe. He ensures that you understand everything going on and gives updates as needed. I?m very thankful to Michael and his team for helping me out, and I know my family is as well. He was compassionate and looked upon my case as if it were his very own situation, unlike other lawyers who would look at it simply as another case. I never felt just like another client with Michael. I cannot thank Michael enough for everything he?s done. If the need arises in the future I will not hesitate to give him a call. If you?re contemplating a consultation with him, don?t think twice just go for it! Thanks again Michael!

Michael j is excellent. I have used Michael for my divorce and also for my house closing. VERY professional and stayed in contact with me about exactly what was going on the whole way. He's down to earth, honest and did all he could for me. It is a good feeling to know I have an attorney that I can call for any future situations and he will guide me down the right path. I am happy I chose him as my attorney. I will be recommending him to any friends or others in the same/ or similar situations.

Michael has earned my highest recommendation. He is intelligent, hard-working, experienced, patient, professional, and courteous. I am extremely satisfied with how he handled my divorce case. I needed a strong, reliable lawyer, and he did not fail me. He helped me find the best path forward for my situation, made himself available to me at all hours, and kept my best interests in mind throughout the proceedings.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
