I have practiced law for nearly 20 years. I learned my trade in the Colorado Drug Court and as a defense lawyer for insurance companies. These experiences educated me in the art of case analysis, what its strengths and weaknesses are. If you have been hurt in an accident or charged with a crime, you need a clear head on your side. Clarity and focus are what I bring to the table.

I have successfully defended hundreds of people against criminal charges--for drug possession, DUI/DWI, theft, fraud, assault, battery and embezzlement. My goal is always is to take your side and protect your freedom.

I also represent clients who have been in highway accidents. The end result may be wrongful death. Or it could be a nonfatal injury from being hit by a truck, car, or other vehicle. I also represent people injured by defective products and accidents occurring on other people's property.

When you have a problem, you want an attorney with a sharp mind, superior communications skills, and experience with your type of problem. Select an attorney who will give you the attention and commitment your case is entitled to.

I hope you will consider me, Mark S. Rubinstein, P.C. I offer free first consultations, and I am happy to meet with you after most businesses have closed.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
