If you are facing charges or looking to appeal a conviction, I recommend Mr. Steven Richards. 13 years ago I was charged and convicted of a misdemeanor. With no prior criminal charges we had used a local attorney. While they were good they were not skilled in how to go about such illegal corruption used against me. My husband spent countless hours looking for an attorney to appeal my case. His efforts paid off when he found Mr. Richards. Not only did he hear our case, but he took it on with a flat fee. He worked out payment plans with us on it too. Then filed an appeal noting close to 10 illegal things done in my trial. The appeal was granted. I never went back to trial either, because the state dismissed the whole case. My record was wiped clean too. My husband is now facing 3 different cases with 11 charges some felonies and some misdemeanors. We knew who to call right away. Mr. Richards not only took on all 3 cases, but remembered who we were even though 12 years has passed. He once again used a flat fee and worked out the payment on that too. If you're facing legal trouble. We highly recommend both Mr. Steven and Mr. Joshua Richards.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
