Action Law Offices, S.C. began serving Wisconsin in Fall 1999 when two experienced trial attoneys opened our first office. Attorney Steven C. Gabert and Attorney Michael D. Leffler each had 10 years experience practicing exclusively as Wisconsin personal injuries attorneys before they organized Action Law Offices, S.C. and opened their first office in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Action Law Offices has since outgrown its original locaction, moved to larger offices and opened a second office, helping thousands of personally injured clients in the process. In 2006 Action Law Offices was proud to announce that Attorney Patrick M. Bertrandt had joined the firm. In order to better serve the needs of personally injured in Southeastern Wisconsin, Action Law Offices now has locations in both Milwaukee and Racine .
Action Law Offices is dedicated exclusively to protecting the rights of injured persons. We have experience necessary to guide you in your claim and then to successfully negotiate with insurance companies on your behalf. We settle most cases out of Court but we have a solid record of success in the court room as well. We understand that the injuries you sustain in an accident can have serious and detrimental effects on many aspects of your life, such as pain and suffering, lost wages, stress, anxiety, and medical bills. We give you piece of mind by dealing with the insurance companies on your behalf, recovering lost wages, and helping you get your medical bills paid.
We offer free initial consultations at the time and place most convenient to you. In cases where you cannot come to one of our offices, home consultations are always available. Unlike most personal injury firms, we do not send an investigator or a paralegal to initial home visits. If you prefer a home visit, the attorney who will be handling your claim will visit you in person and give you the proper legal advice. We welcome the opportunity to serve you and protect your rights. At Action Law Offices, S.C. we expect no attorney's fees unless we successfully resolve your case.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level
- - Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials
- - How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost
- - How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City
- - Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
