Hired Law firm 2020-2023I met Michael after I my son and I were injured when my car got totaled by a teenage driver who ran a stop sign and hit y car so hard that in crumbled and spun around. I saw a commercial and called B & D. Right away Michael was there. He and his team took care of everything for us. We got medical bills pre paid, a car rental...for months! We settled for more than I ever thought we could get. Thank you!

Hired Law firm 2020My first attorney I went to told me I don’t have a case. It is only because of B & D that I got an incredible settlement. Thank you so much!

Hired Law firm 2020-2021According to the Better Business Bureau (BBB) website, they have a grade of D+ (see BBB complaints under both names “B & D Law Group” and “B & D Injury Law”). They had my case for nearly an entire year, and all they did was demand insurance information. They had no intention of litigating my case like they said they would. And the only reason I signed with this firm was because they said they would take my case to trial and they would litigate my case. Daniel D. Geoulla never once had my best interests in mind and had no intention of taking my case to trial. The only person they fought was me, their own client. The only person they took to court was me because they wanted to drop my case after they couldn’t collect from insurance (I told them repeatedly from the beginning that they weren’t getting any insurance information from the defendants). He knew from the beginning, in February 2020, that I was a domestic violence victim and my injuries involved assault by my maternal family. I was trying to escape from my abusers and planned on moving out and away from them in March. I wanted them to wait until the end of March to send the insurance demand letter. Daniel D Geoulla acted against my best interests and I was assaulted over the demand letter. On 03/12/2020, when I wanted to drop the case, for fear of my safety, in order to keep me as a client, they intentionally defrauded me by stating they would litigate my case and take it to trial. They waited until the last minute, just before the statute of limitations was about to run out, to file a lawsuit on 09/18/2020. I never once discussed my case with my attorney Daniel D. Geoulla. I was never once consulted about the claims made or defendants named in the complaint, they filed without my knowledge or consent. And they never served the defendants. Daniel D. Geoulla abandoned me as his client, committed perjury on 10/29/2020 and on 12/31/2020, forged my signature on 3 documents dated 3/1/2020 (and spelled my street address wrong), stole my client property, and still won’t return my case file with my records I sent to his office (he claims I made up “evidence that doesn’t exist”), discriminated against me because of my disabilities, denied all of my ADA accommodation requests, marginalized my serious medical conditions, and never once fulfilled any of his duties to his client. I'm fleeing domestic violence, and Daniel D. Geoulla gave out my physical address, as public record, to my abusers! Daniel D. Geoulla is the epitome of unethical and unprofessional. Daniel D. Geoulla should be disbarred.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
