There is no such thing as a "good" or "enjoyable" divorce, but Jennifer Sinclair and her team certainly made it efficient. They provided excellent advice, diligently managed the paperwork throughout the process, and were very responsive to any inquiries. I would definitely recommend their services.

There are few words that would properly address the gratitude I have for this firm, my Attorney, Ms. Sinclair, the paralegal I have worked with most predominantly, Ms. Sanders and the entire firm team. Addressing every single concern that has come up and working tirelessly (and that is not a strong enough word) towards resolution. I was concerned that the nuance and detail to my case and circumstances could be lost in just the overwhelming scope of my particulars, but the RDLF team drilled down to my specific goals and put every option on the table and supported every decision that I came to make. With endless passion, creativity and meticulous practice of Law I could not more wholeheartedly recommend working with this firm. Careful, thoughtful and kind throughout the process with a delicate application to me and mine at the forefront of their work always.

Heather and her experienced team were the abosolute best people to have in my corner during my extremely difficult and complicated divorce. Throughout this process I needed for things to be explained in detail and there were several times where I just needed to be calmed down. Heather and her team stepped up and talked me off of the ledge each and every time with nothing but care and kindness. Having a knowledgeable, experienced and down right "don't take no BS" team fighting FOR me is something that gave me peace, strength and a sense of calm/comfort. Having Heather and her team on my side and defending me is something that I'll never forget. Finding a lawyer for my divorce was one of the hardest decisions to make during a very emotional time. Deciding to have Heather represent me is something that I'll never regret and one of the best decisions that I made during this process. Her and her team always put what was best for me first and fought for me in each and every situation.

Katelyn Heath and the entire team at Raleigh Divorce Law Firm were amazing to work with during a long and difficult divorce. Katelyn was great at explaining the process and patiently answered my many, many questions. She always focused on what would be best for me and my children without being aggressive or punitive to the other party. I felt very confident having her as my advocate and would not hesitate to recommend her legal services to anyone in need of a divorce lawyer.

As a young mother who unexpectedly took on the role of a single mother while being unfamiliar with the processes of Child Custody and Child Support, Morgan Thomas has exceeded my expectations as an attorney. I have nothing but praise to give regarding her representation. The interaction that I received from the staff at Raleigh Divorce Law Firm has been equally as helpful anytime I had to come into the office or called with an inquiry. I highly recommend this firm if you are looking for a competent divorce attorney and staff to handle any and all of your needs.

From the moment I met with lead Attorney, Heather Williams Forshey at Raleigh Divorce Law, I finally drove home confident that I had someone that absolutely cared about my case. In an extremely high conflict divorce and especially Child Custody Case, Heather and her excellent paralegals and staff immediately got to work and proved how impressive they really are. After giving other attorney's the opportunity to work my case, only Raleigh Divorce Law did the "extras", and truly took the time to research, question, communicate, you name it, the information that was needed to produce unbelievable results. Anyone that is even contemplating a Family Divorce and for sure Child Custody issues needs to contact this firm!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
