Horrible! no one will answer your emails or phone calls, waiting on money to be wired from a closing, cannot get an answer from anyone as to where the money is or when i'll get the wire. 24 hours later, still waiting.

    Consulted Law firm 2021
Beware, This is a fact with a document to confirm. I was issued a check from Dunes law firm. The check needed to be reissued. I handed Dunes law firm back the original check. Dunes law firm charged me $40.00 for a stop payment of the original check I just handed them. They actually took the $40.00 out of the new check to make sure they could screw me out of the $40.00 . Some law firms want to squeeze everything last penny out of you. So moral of this story is make sure you look into your closing attorney. I have this documented in an email if you would like to see it. Just ask.

Bianca and Julie are apparently never in. They will put you on hold to check , but always come back , sorry they aren't in. First their office is super small , I'm positive everyone knows who is in and isn't for the day no reason to check. Really they don't want to take your 2 minute phone call. Also they NEVER call back

    Recommends this Law firm
The attornies and all the paralegals plus their assistants are the quintessiental professionals you would expect from a law firm. Exceptional customer service and even better communication. Multiple examples of excellence in service come to mind in my dealings with this law firm. Highly recommend Dunes. I read the negative review and I can only say we had diameterically opposing experiences and views. Extremely organized and knowledgeable about the matters of my transactions. Will be using Dunes in the future without hesitation or reservation. Best on the BEACH!!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

  • Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
  • Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
  • Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
  • City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
