Tim helped me out of the hardest thing I've had to go through in life. I was facing a felony and 5yrs in prison for something I didn't do with almost no evidence to back me up and this man did everything in his power to prove my innocence. Especially during the beginning of covid when everything and everyone was on lockdown Tim was always there for me and always kept me in the loop. He always checked up on me and he was always there if I had questions or concerns. This man saved my life and I could never express the amount of gratitude I have for him and his hard work to return me back to my family. if you're looking for someone who is experienced and actually cares about your issue and wants to help then please go with Mr.Kelly. HE IS THE BEST LAWYER IN KISTAP COUNTY!!!! Thank you so much for everything Tim!

I gave this guy15k to represent my son he told me he would give me back what ever he did not use. I guess I shouldn?t have believed that coming from a lawyer?s mouth. I really believe he wasn?t much better than a public defender. Good luck to all you people in kidnap county

If your going thru a tough time and need a lawyer that will go the extra mile Tim is your guy. I won?t go into much detail but I?m a 3 time felon who got a DUI 3 years into my sobriety due to a tough situation I was battling that led me back to drinking. I new I had to get a real good attorney or I was going back to prison. Tim had took the time to meet with me and assured me if I did as he said I would be ok. He is a man of his word and went the extra mile to keep me out for myself and my 3 children. As a single father this was a very scary period in my life. Also, I ran into a situation over a year later on the same case where I was needing his assistance and he treated me as if my money was still good and took care of the problem right away witch couldn?t have once again landed me in the wrong path. Tim, I truly thank you! J.H. ?

I have still to this day never met Tim. From Tim's first email response I knew he was the one. After a couple of emails and a phone call Tim went straight to work. Within a VERY reasonable time Tim had my gun rights restored. Tim did a great job and I never even went to court. I will tell you after divorce you can get a bad taste in your mouth for attorneys. Tim was very honest and reasonably priced. Tim did everything he said he would and I never left my home. I would recommend Tim to anyone even my own family. That is how I feel about Tim and the service he provided. If I ever need an attorney again I will seek Tim for his expert legal help. Tim has earned my respect and for an attorney, that is not easy! Thank you again Tim

Tim is a genuinely nice guy, and a sincere down to earth lawyer who operates an honest practice. I will be the first one to tell you I generally don't like attorneys (I know most people don't), I really like Tim. He's personable, doesn't try to rip you off and he's helpful. I lost my right to own firearms after a domestic situation I was involved in over 20 years ago. I went to Tim for help when a relative of mine died and willed me his gun collection, I couldn't take possession of my inheritance until I restored my rights. Tim was amazing, his prices were fair, and there were two parts to the process. I had to get my misdemeanor conviction for DV vacated, and then get my firearms rights restored. Tim took care of my DV conviction without me even stepping into a court room, the second part Tim walked me through the process of filing my own request to the courts and even reviewed my paperwork for me. This saved me a lot of money - and Tim was incredibly helpful, honest and empathetic to my situation. It's almost a year later, and I can now pass a background check without issue, purchase firearms without a problem, and have a valid conceal carry. I'm not saying everyone will be as successful as I was at cleaning up their records, everyone's circumstances are different, but I can assure you if it's possible to do so in your case, Tim is the guy to go to!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
