Carrie was born in Independence, Missouri but was raised in Macomb, Michigan and Minneapolis, Minnesota. Carrie attended St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. Carrie attended law school at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis. While in law school, Carrie volunteered with the Minnesota Justice Foundation, was an intern at the Advocates for Human Rights and was active in the Immigration clinic at St. Thomas, working on asylum and VAWA cases. Carrie was recognized for completing 150 hours of public service volunteer hours during law school.

Carrie has represented clients in Social Security hearings all over the country including California, Maryland, Illinois, Louisiana and Montana. Carrie is a member of the Minnesota State Bar Association, Social Security Chapter and has
presented at the 8th Circuit Social Security Conference about Social Security hearings. Carrie has also presented seminars to Minnesota Continuing Legal Education about Social Security law. Carrie considers it a privilege to work with clients and to help them navigate the social security system.

In her free time, Carrie enjoys reading, traveling and attempting to train her naughty dog, Scout.
