I had talked to a couple of other lawyers before Gadi regarding estate planning. but I was not able to get as good a picture around the process as I got from Gadi. He was great at explaining all the terms and conditions, simplifying the decision making for us at every step. He also promptly clarified any concerns I had after the initial draft was ready. The process was completed promptly and professionally from their side. It was a pleasure working with Gadi, and I would happily work with him again.

My wife and I went to Gadi Zohar for estate planning after my colleague recommended him. Gadi was very knowledgeable, professional, thorough, prompt, and patient throughout the process as he explained the ins and outs of estate planning and answered all of our questions. He even alerted us to potential scams to be aware of. His assistant Juan was great to interact with as well. I highly recommend Gadi and his team.

Gadi and his staff created our long overdue will and trust quickly and easily. We especially appreciate him being pleasant to work with, always followed up promptly and found a way to keep things progressing safely during covid.

I contacted Gadi Zohar to restate our family trust documents. Our old trust was woefully out of date and his explanations of the changes he recommended were clear and concise. After reading the draft documents, I had a series of questions which he answered clearly and fully. When everything was ready, Gadi and Jessica came to our house for the final document signing. I found Gadi quite pleasant and easy to work with and I would recommend him to anyone needing a competent attorney.

We worked with Gadi on our estate planning documents, and had a very good experience. We looked at a few different firms based on recommendations from family and friends, and chose Gadi based on a positive experience in our initial Zoom meeting. Gadi and his assistant Juan were both very responsive and made the process quite easy and straightforward. Gadi was patient in answering questions we had on the draft documents and helped translate the 'legalese' into language we could understand.

Gadi Zohar did a remarkable job helping us put together our living trust. He is extraordinarily knowledgable about everything related to estate planning and was quick to respond to all our questions. Gadi explained to us in a meaningful and understandable way how a living trust works, powers of attorney, health directives, etc...Most of all, he helped us to feel confident that our children will have very few difficulties managing our estate when we are gone. I highly recommend working with Gadi.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
