As an member of Collaborative Council of the Redwood Empire (CCRE) and International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP), Jill works closely with a trusted network of other family law practitioners, mental health professionals, including child specialists, and financial experts to promote holistic and respectful conflict resolution. In collaborative cases, each participant (party) is represented by an attorney while other professional team members, also trained in both mediation and collaborative practice, provide particular expertise in their respective areas. This results in a highly structured process that progresses efficiently toward a workable settlement.

The traditional model involves a single neutral mediator while a more progressive approach pairs two neutral mediators, usually one attorney and one mental health professional. Mediation is a cost-effective model that, unlike litigation, leaves room to address emotional conflicts often intertwined with resolving legal conflict.
