This law firm is bad for business they took my settlement I didn't receive a red cent. I don't remember this firm to no one and I'm so mad about this situation that I have to hire an attorney to go after this law firm..

All I can say is Wow! The Attorney that worked with me was Trenton Sims. From the beginning to the end, he reassured me that he would take care of me and was confident in his abilities. He kept me updated and demonstrated that he was prepared to ?do what he does?. His experience, knowledge, confidence and caring personality was exactly why I needed. He keep me updated throughout the process. If he is a representation of others at this Law Firm, this is the Firm to choose. In closing, YES he WON my case ????!

I received no form of contact from this office for four weeks although I called numerous times and had a contract with them. When I expressed my frustration and disappointment, they stated it was best to terminate our contract, which was expected. This company doesn?t take ownership for their lack of professionalism, but instead places the blame on the client! FYI I am a black physician and expressed myself in a professional manner! Incidences like this makes it difficult to support other black professionals!!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
