Scott had my divorce case for nearly 2 years (Feb 2021 - Dec 2022) and all I have to show for over 2,500$ of my money is a parenting plan that i didnt get until December of 2021. Nearly no responce on emails and phone call. At one point I had to reach out to one of his partners to get an email stating that this all takes time and we would be getting things done soon. Shocker nothing happened. Dont waste your time or money on him as he is QUCIK to take it and bill you for nothing being done.

Scott did absolutely nothing for my case, didn?t not respond to emails, miss informed me about the law, and charged almost double the hours and lied about the time. I don?t even know if he really knows the laws, everything he told turned out to be wrong.

I paid him to take care of a family case he did nothing not even a single thing filed on my case , I?ve tried to get in contact with him a dozen of times and still got nothing. I will say this he?s fast at taking your money but slow and /or won?t do the work that he was paid in full to do.......

When it comes to children Court related time sharing custody Scott the Wesley is very knowledgeable on all the processes very easy to work with cares about your story and truly wants nothing but what's right in Fair for the child as a client I became comfortable he's working with my case for 16 months off and on off and on always came on top there was many rough times especially when you don't get to see your child Wisconsin great listener and seems to know the right things to say for the stipulations when having Scott on your case you get a sense of gratitude and everything will be okay.

If you want a law office that will be there for you whenever you need him. Scott is your man. We had a very high conflict child custody case with a lot of lies to sort through. Scott navigated my family through these very choppy waters with a fantastic outcome. We got our children out of a very sticky situation. If you find yourself in a situation when you need someone who is on your side, you cannot find a better attorney to fight for your family.

I highly recommend Scott, he is a rare to find lawyer that actually cares for his clients and doesn't just take your money. He finalized my divorce even in the middle of the pandemic we faced. I'm a very busy person and he always found a way to communicate. The office staff was friendly and knowledgeable. He offers realistic solutions. Price was reasonable.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
