We assist employers in matters such as:

• Compliance: We help employers stay up to date with employment laws, regulations, and best practices, ensuring their policies, procedures, and contracts align with legal requirements.

• Risk Management: We provide proactive risk assessment and management strategies, minimizing the potential for legal disputes, penalties, and reputational damage.

• Employment Contracts and Agreements: We draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, non-disclosure agreements, non-compete agreements, and other vital documents to protect the interests of our employer clients.

• Workplace Policies and Handbooks: We assist in creating comprehensive and compliant policies and handbooks that promote a positive work culture while addressing legal obligations.

• Litigation and Dispute Resolution: Should disputes arise, we zealously represent employers in negotiations, mediations, arbitrations, and, when necessary, in litigation to protect their rights and interests.

Representing Employees:

For employees, we strive to level the playing field by advocating for their rights and ensuring fair treatment within the workplace. We understand the challenges individuals face when confronted with workplace discrimination, harassment, wrongful termination, or wage and hour violations. Our compassionate attorneys are committed to providing personalized attention and robust representation to help employees assert their rights effectively. We offer assistance in areas including:

• Discrimination and Harassment Claims: We stand up against workplace discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, and other protected characteristics, offering legal remedies to seek justice and compensation.

• Wrongful Termination: We fight for employees who have been unjustly terminated, protecting their rights, and pursuing legal remedies for reinstatement, compensation, or severance.

• Wage and Hour Disputes: We advocate for fair compensation by addressing issues such as unpaid wages, overtime violations, and misclassification, ensuring employees receive the remuneration they deserve.

• Whistleblower Protection: We provide legal guidance and support for employees who expose corporate wrongdoing or illegal activities, ensuring their rights are protected and they receive appropriate remedies.

• Employment Contract Review: We thoroughly review employment contracts and non-compete agreements, empowering employees with a clear understanding of their rights and negotiating fair terms on their behalf.

5.0 out of 5 stars

Gina and her team were great. I was initially hesitant to pay hourly, but Gina promised me it would be better for me and she was right. I saved quite a bit paying hourly instead of contingency fees you typically see elsewhere. She walked me through the entire process and laid out to me our strategy and what was a likely outcome. Her communication was excellent and I always felt in the loop. Even when I didn't understand something, she was empathetic to the situation as a whole and took the time to explain it to me. I really couldn't have asked for a better team as I received substantially more than what was originally offered by my former company.

Gina and her law firm went above and beyond for me. Not only was her and her teams legal expertise top notch. But they went out of their way to let me know that they were on my side and represented me in the best manner possible. Thank you again

I have retained Gina Cadogan to represent me as an employer on multiple occasions over the years. Gina Cadogan is not only sharp, diligent, efficient, knowledgeable, and confident, but she's also extremely caring and compassionate which is a key attribute that most attorneys lack! There is no other employment law attorney I would ever hire to represent my firm. If you are looking for an employment law attorney, Gina Cadogan is the one you should call!

Let me start this review by saying that I am a lawyer. Over the years, I have both hired Cadogan Law to represent my company and have referred clients to her. She is professional, smart and very knowledgeable. I will continue to refer her clients and use her as my company's lawyer.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
