She takes pride in her work and goes the extra mile to be sure her clients get fair and just representation. Hands down will always keep Jherna in my wheelhouse whenever I need council and highly recommend her to defend myself or anyone of my friends or family. Hired Law firm 2019Jherna Shahani is one of the top criminal defense attorneys in Las Vegas. She cares a lot about her clients, and puts them first. I felt extremely comfortable with her as my lawyer, after talking to her at my free consultation. I don’t make much, but she was really nice and we worked out a payment plan to best fit my income situation. I got arrested and charged with felony trafficking, and felony possession. I went with a public defender first, since I didn’t make much money. The absolute best deal I got was to plead guilty to a felony and have 5 years supervised probation. I ended up talking to Jherna Shahani, and retained her the first time we spoke. She didn’t give me fake promises just to get my money. She actually cared, and explained to me everything she could try to do for me. She worked for me hard, and ended up getting me a deal where I just had to plead guilty to one gross misdemeanor. NO FELONIES AT ALL !!! If you are in need of a criminal defense attorney, I highly recommend Jherna Shahani. She goes far and beyond what is expected, and gets great results.

How do I choose a lawyer?
Consider the following:
- Comfort Level – Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?
- Credentials – How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?
- Cost – How are the lawyer's fees structured — hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?
- City – Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?
Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?
Here are a few to get you started:
- How long have you been in practice?
- How many cases like mine have you handled?
- How often do you settle cases out of court?
- What are your fees and costs?
- What are the next steps?
Want to check lawyer discipline?
It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:
- Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
- Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
- Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
