Mr. Darsky is very knowledgeable and helpful. When you need legal help, you have alot of questions and want to talk things through with someone who knows the law and is easy to talk with. Mr. Darsky is that kind of attorney. I highly recommend him.

Unfortunately, attorney misconduct claims were not being investigated at the time and he was not disciplined for his overtly illegal activities (see the statement in the Wall Street Journal for more information about the scandal involving attorney misconduct claims). This man has no business practicing law and is a disgrace to the legal profession.

Excellent Attorney! Gave me info on renter's rights. He was the only attorney that called me back, gave me information on how to move forward, and let me know I could contact him again for help. As soon as I'm out of the horror of an apartment I will be using him to sue for damages.

Beware of crooked, corrupt ?layer? I would definitely advice anyone to stay away this greedy layer and find others.

I called Aaron about my landlord not accepting my 36 day notice and he was extremely helpful and generous with his advice. Did not charge me a thing for a 20 minute discussion. The world is a better place with people like Aaron (and without giving people like my landlord a pass). Will go back to him any time

I called Aaron to get some advice regarding a tenant situation. He was EXTREMELY helpful andgenerous with his time. He provided me with advice I wasn't aware of and couldn't research. As a result, I was able to settle with my landlords without going to court. If you are ever in need of legal representation regarding a tenant issue, call Aarton. You will not be disappointed.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
