5.0 out of 5 stars

Altagracia is a wonderful, knowledgeable, and compassionate attorney. Her drive and skills will certainly lead her to success quickly now that she has her own firm. I have no doubt in her ability to serve her clients well, and I wish her all the best.

Altagracia is a great attorney both legally and interpersonally. She worked hard on my immigration case in a short amount of time, also giving the necessary push for me to produce the work I needed to prepare for the interview and subsequent possibilities. She really knows what shes doing. Green card approved, best possible result!!

I cannot express how thankful I am for Altagracia's help during my legal matters. She was there every step of the way with confidence, respect, and kindness. Every question and concern, Altagracia listened and was knowledgeable given her 15+ years of experience! It's scary being in a situation where one needs legal consul, but Altagracia's savviness and experience was exceptional. I would recommend her in full confidence.

We needed to find a lawyer in a rush for my fianc? and I am so glad that friends of friends recommended Altagracia. She was super professional. She is an amazing lawyer and person. She listened to all the concerns and problems of my partner and she was able to represent him in court and have the case solved. I can't stop to say thank you! She solved this issue so quickly and with less stress as possible. We are so glad we found her! Please if you have any problem the landlord-tenant don't hesitate to contact her!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
