We contacted Kevin Keeling law firm to assist with Trademark filing on a new start up apparel business. This was our first time filing a trademark, we had no idea what the process was. Mr Keeling took the time to walk us through the filing process, including timeline and fees. We had many questions, he was thorough and very professional. All this was during the initial free consultation. Now that we have entered in a contract for Mr Keeling to proceed, he has consistantly proven he is knowledgeable in the Trademark process, is always proffesional, and reponsiveness. We call his office, he typically picks up immediatley, when he is unavailable he returns our calls within the same day. We are very pleased with Mr Keelings law firm services. Thank You Mr Keeling!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. It was our pleasure to assist Mr. Benoit with his trademarks and we hope to continue helping him as he expands his brand and business. We are always excited to help businesses to get started and are excited for what the Cajun Soul brand has in its future! Thank you again for giving us the opportunity to help you with your trademarks and we look forward to assisting you in the future.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
