If you ever find yourself being sued or taken to court by a previous employer, then you need someone on your side who understands the relationships involved in the suit but also is there for you. You need Rodney Bridgers in your corner. Not only did Rod respond to all the legal back and forth for me, but He also kept me informed as to the current issues and explained the reasoning behind all the moves we made. I would get anxious and very stressed (hey, this thing lasted 9 months) and each time Rod talked me down off the ledge and I actually was able to relax (and enjoyed Christmas with my family). You know the feeling, just letting out a big breath and knowing that things are not as bad as they seemed, that is the feeling I got from working with Rod. And after all that, we settled ?amicably? but I consider it a ?win? from my side (settlement reduced to only 7%), due mostly for having had Rod on my team. You need someone on your side? Contact Rodney Bridgers and you?ll get the comfortable feeling of having the support of a pro. I?m so glad I did.

Working with Rod on my case was truly a pleasure. Rod was very professional and courteous, knowledgeable in his area of expertise, took the time to explain processes/answer questions, easy to communicate with, and most importantly, he genuinely cares about his clients. Rod was sure to set realistic expectations and had a great sense of what our outcome would look like. The end result was far beyond my expectations and I believe everyone is happy on all sides. I am very fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with Rod on my case and would highly recommend working with him on yours.

WOW! If I could rate this guy a negative star I would. I have a real strong sense with people's character and let me tell you I would absolutely recommend going with someone who actually has a genuine interest in helping you. If you didn't sense it the first time talking to him I assure you it will come out later - it's just who he is as a person. Another thing is, he will price gouge you with his services and if you question it he will absolutely make you feel like crap. Out of a time constraint I thought I would give him a shot and hired him on a contingency - BIG MISTAKE. This guy bailed out on me 30 minutes before we were supposed to get on a call with the EEOC. He not only left me hanging but he was an absolute class "A" prick about it. The crazy thing about it was that he called me on a wrong number (by one digit) and he aggressively without question told me it was unacceptable that I didn't pick up. He continued to tell me if happens again he would drop me. When I started defending myself to let him know I didn't get a missed call from him, his behavior escalated to another level asking me if I'm calling him a liar. I was blown away and when I tried to move on he told me he didn't like my attitude and used that bail out. After he hung up on me I reached out to his office to see if we can correct this, but instead he instructed his Intake Coordinator not to forward my calls to him. I made it very clear to him Via email and also to his Coordinator that I would be leaving a review and he didn't seem to care. At the end of the day don't put yourself in a hostage position with this guys "My way or the highway" mindset.

Jackie, Mr. Bridgers secretary and/or PA was extremely rude and condescending. Mr. Bridgers himself was gruff, discourteous, and dismissive in my personal experience. I would avoid this office at all costs.

If you are suffering from wrongful termination, I highly recommend the Law Office of Rod Bridgers. He responded quickly to all of my questions and concerns and worked through my case with me every step of the way. He is professional, knowledgable, and was extremely instrumental in the success of my case.

Mr. Bridgers seems like a caring and courteous lawyer but, his legal secretary named "Jackie" is not. I felt very "belittled" by her outright "cocky" and "arrogant" attitude/treatment towards me. She should learn more about etiquette and her role as just a "legal secretary" which is to help the clients as much as possible.

I am fully aware of this reviewer's abusive conduct toward Jackie. Jackie is not "just a legal secretary," but an integral part of our practice and the services we render. Referring to anyone as "just a legal secretary" is not only demeaning, but also provides insight into this reviewer's mentality. Jackie is the epitome of professionalism. Jackie has the unenviable responsibility for doing the initial intake with prospective clients to obtain the information I need to evaluate whether I can help that person. Unfortunately, we cannot help everyone because some people simply have no legitimate claim. I made the decision not to represent him. Thereafter, he demanded we take certain actions to placate him. Unfortunately, this reviewer misrepresents Jackie's very patient and professional communication with him as arrogant, cocky and belittling. Nothing could be further from the truth!

Waiste of time and money .Paid $350 for aproximately 15-20min consultation and after asking him how long it'll take for him to go over my case ,I was promised to get an answer from him in a " few days",if he could take my case on contingecy basis or not .I waited a week when I first contacted him and he mention via email that he was out of town on bussines trip and will be back at the office after 12 days !? I did try to get in touch with him after this timeline only to get the same answer :he was either busy speaking with a client, being on a conference call or on meeting .Left mesage on his voice mail ,as well as emailing him to let him know that I was still waiting for what he decided about my case due to time restriction .Get no answer whatsoever beside promissing otherwise in beginning, but he was very prompt to call me back and tell me that he couldn't represent me, right after I mentionet to his secretary on the last call that every time I call ( around five times total at the most) I get the same standart answer and I explained to her the timeline on my case.Whent to pick up my paperwork he initially returned only few documents ( with my name mispelled ) only to be reminded by me that I need my whole file that I gave him .Obviously he didn't bother touching my case and going as far as blaiming me for the time lost.I must say that he was curteous and polite with me in person nevertheless he didn't help me ,in countrary.

You cannot please everyone. This person is a forceful personality who sees the world his way. His post is revenge for me declining to represent him.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
