We don't just talk the talk-we have tried cases to verdict in courtrooms, before arbitration panels, and before regulatory panels. When it's all on the line, there's a reason our clients want us there.

Our practices run the gamut. Whether it's a battle over highly-sensitive trade secrets, construction disputes, product liability, or significant personal injury and wrongful death cases, we've been in the trenches before and have emerged victorious.

5.0 out of 5 stars

I consulted the firm regarding an issue that surrounds design rights. Many law firms state that they offer free consultations, protect individuals' rights, stood against many "Goliaths" and many more of these empty statements. However, they are usually not legal consultations per say, if at all, rather, such consultations are just to say whether the law firm is interested in the case or not. But with BurkeBog, the situation is entirely different. They take the consultation process seriously, and they do their best to provide an honest, fast, and straight to the point feedback, whether the enquiry is from an individual, foreigner, etc... I got the first reply within 24 hours and on a weekend. They also review any documents directly related to the enquiry, conduct a real deliberation, and then give their early impression on the case and what the major concerns are. I also had the chance to further elaborate on my case in order to get a reevaluation for the potential claim. The consultation process lasted more than one month, and I found no law firm that provides such an open communication with a prospective client and takes its time in reviewing the potential case in order to give an accurate evaluation. Although I was not represented by the firm, the consultation process was quite enlightening for me. I became more aware of the right time to pursue a claim and, consequently, what the major factors are that should be the focus of the potential case so that it becomes financially worthwhile. I contacted several law firms in Texas and other states, and not a single law firm handled my situation as BurkeBog did, and for that they have my sincere thanks for their support and wish them all the best in their work and to further expand their reach in the US and the rest of the world.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
