I would recommend John Malone to my family and friends, John is very professional and kind, and answers all questions you may have, in a timely matter. John and his team do a wonderful work. Both John and his assistant Nancy. Nancy is always on top of things as well. John and his Team did WONDERFUL work for me and I would hire John and his team again, if I needed them in the future. Thank you so much John and your team.

Malone and Atchison did a great job representing me with my work comp case! They made sure I got the medical care I needed, and all my benefits and pay I had coming! I highly recommend them, and I am very grateful for being referred to them!

I used Malone & Atchison law form for my worker's comp claim and found them to be extremely competent and caring. John Malone & Nancy Drontle were always quick to answer my questions. Despite the obstacles the insurance company put in front of me, John & Nancy were able to bring a very satisfying conclusion. Very pleased with them and the other personnel in their office as well. Would highly recommend the law firm of Malone & Atchison.

I went through Malone and Atchison law firm first for my workers comp claim and then eventually for my Social Security disability claim. I experienced them to be highly knowledgeable, competent and caring. They treated me as a person, not a number. John Malone eased my anxiety when my work comp case was heard and I had to testify. This was never a thing that I thought I would ever have to do in my lifetime and was stressful, but he and his assistant Nancy Drontle always answered my questions and explained things well. Their receptionist also was very kind and always polite when I numerous times called with questions. I would highly recommend them to anyone needing assistance with their situation.

I worked with this law firm to represent me in my Social Security Disability claim. In the end, I won my case. It was a drawn out process (courts went from in-person to video during the pandemic), but the law firm was diligent in their follow-ups and Mr. Malone presented the facts on my difficult disability claim in a way that the judge saw my side of things. The team working with Mr. Malone is professional, kind and understanding. I would recommend their service to the closest of friends and family!

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
