1.0 out of 5 stars

Russell Romond is dog excrement. Worst lawyer I ever seen in my life that?s because when he?s in court he?s all drugged up on cocaine. He got in trouble for it which is why he?s not a lawyer anymore.

Russell Romond is truly an incompetent lawyer and law firm. He was quick to respond to emails when I paid him but radio silence for months as I begged him to review the documents. He did not do what I needed in a landlord lawsuit (sending out appropriate correspondence) and also sent things that were incorrect with incorrect dates. Due to the false information he presented in court, which he even apologized for getting dates wrong, he lost the overall case and cost me money. During the trial, Russell seemed nervous, jittery, and could not present adequately and eloquently enough to the judge. He was frequently dismissed before he could even get a word in due to him mismanaging his words and going back to explain himself. If you want to lose a case and lose money, please go to Romond law group. If you want a competent attorney, I'd look elsewhere.

How do I choose a lawyer?

Consider the following:

Comfort Level
- Are you comfortable telling the lawyer personal information? Does the lawyer seem interested in solving your problem?

Credentials
- How long has the lawyer been in practice? Has the lawyer worked on other cases similar to yours?

Cost
- How are the lawyer's fees structured - hourly or flat fee? Can the lawyer estimate the cost of your case?

City
- Is the lawyer's office conveniently located?

Not sure what questions to ask a lawyer?

Here are a few to get you started:

  • How long have you been in practice?
  • How many cases like mine have you handled?
  • How often do you settle cases out of court?
  • What are your fees and costs?
  • What are the next steps?

Want to check lawyer discipline?

It is always a good idea to research your lawyer prior to hiring. Every state has a disciplinary organization that monitors attorneys, their licenses, and consumer complaints. By researching lawyer discipline you can:

  • Ensure the attorney is currently licensed to practice in your state
  • Gain an understanding of his or her historical disciplinary record, if any.
  • Determine the seriousness of complaints/issues which could range from late bar fees to more serious issues requiring disciplinary action.
