Ms. Mikat-Stevens was admitted to the California and the Washington Bars in 2019. She is also admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Washington, the United States District Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of California, and the United States District Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Washington. In 2013, Ms. Mikat-Stevens received her Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and in International Studies as well as a Minor in Spanish Language and Literature. In 2017, Ms. Mikat-Stevens received her Juris Doctorate and Master of Environmental Law and Policy from Vermont Law School (VLS) as well as a Certificate in Food and Agriculture Law. During law school, Ms. Mikat-Stevens served as a Note and Production Editor for the Vermont Journal of Environmental Law, served with the VLS Environmental Law Society, worked as a student clinician for the Food and Agriculture Clinic and the Environmental and Natural Resources Law Clinic at VLS, and interned with Mercy For Animals. Following law school, Ms. Mikat-Stevens was selected for a fellowship focused on the labor trafficking and forced labor of agricultural workers in the United States, during which time she developed a toolkit for legal practitioners, and she also represented victims of trafficking with civil and criminal cases. Before joining Moon & Yang, Ms. Mikat-Stevens represented farm workers with various employment law claims in civil and administrative courts as well as in grievance and arbitration matters.
Ms. Mikat-Stevens speaks Spanish and German, in addition to English. In her spare time, Ms. Mikat-Stevens enjoys bonding with her dog, being outdoors, reading, and learning to play the ukulele.
