Overview
Lawrence J. Signore is a Rhode Island workers’ compensation attorney who focuses his practice on representing injured employees throughout Rhode Island. He also represents individuals who have been injured due to the negligence of others in personal injury matters, including motor vehicle accidents and serious injury claims.
Attorney Signore has extensive experience with Rhode Island workers’ compensation law from both sides of the system. Prior to founding the Law Offices of Lawrence J. Signore, he represented injured workers and also served as defense counsel representing employers and insurance companies in workers’ compensation matters. He now uses that prior defense experience and knowledge of the insurance industry to advocate for injured employees seeking workers’ compensation benefits.
Mr. Signore also served as a Superior Court Law Clerk through the Rhode Island Supreme Court Clerkship Department, where he was assigned to the Chief Judge of the Rhode Island Workers’ Compensation Court. This experience provided him with valuable insight into Rhode Island workers’ compensation law and the court system in which he now represents injured workers.
Prior to graduating from law school, Mr. Signore served as a research assistant to Harvey Rishikof, Dean of Roger Williams University School of Law. He also worked in various capacities at the Rhode Island General Assembly, Office of the Senate Majority Leader.
Mr. Signore is admitted to practice in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, as well as the United States District Courts for the Districts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
He is a graduate of Rhode Island College (B.A., Political Science, 1997) and Roger Williams University School of Law (J.D., 2002), and is a member of the Rhode Island Association for Justice.
