Overview
Robert grew up in Anderson, South Carolina. He is a graduate of T. L. Hanna High School and Wofford College. Robert earned his Law degree at Cumberland Law School in Birmingham Alabama.
After Law School Robert returned to South Carolina and was admitted to practice law in 1984.
He began his legal career working for a statewide law firm based in Walterboro SC. While working in the statewide law firm he appeared in every courthouse in the state.
In 1987 Robert moved back home to Anderson. Robert and Richard began practicing law together when Robert joined the Lowery, Hood and Thompson Law firm in Anderson SC. Robert joined Lowery Thompson and King in 1989 as a partner. In 1998 Richard and Robert formed Thompson and King Law Firm. Robert is proud to member of a firm dedicated to helping clients get a fresh start in life. Whether it is discharging unsecured debts. Obtaining relief from their disabilities. Or simply helping them with important legal issues. His firm works hard to help people overcome the legal issue facing them and giving them to chance for a fresh start.
For the last 23 years Robert and Richard are proud to have assisted their clients in resolving unsecured consumer debts, saving homes from foreclosure, counseling clients as they work to get a fresh start.
Robert draws from his lifelong experience in counseling his clients. Robert during his legal carrier has defended the accused in criminal trials. Prosecuted criminal cases in Municipal Court. Represented victims of serious automobile accidents and product liability cases. He has also represented parties in family court proceedings. He uses this experience today to help consumer debtor as they deal with the financial problems that arise in the confusing economic world today.
Robert says the greatest reward for his work is the smiles and hope he sees in his client's eyes after helping a client get relief from their financial burdens and a fresh start.
Robert wants his clients to see him as a problem solver who is committed to serving clients with the utmost diligence and patience during their most important issues.
Robert also is a proud member at St Johns Methodist church where is involved in a number of mission activities focusing on helping his local community.
Robert enjoys travel, history and going to sport events to see his favorite teams, Wofford, Clemson and Red Sox's play.
Robert and his wife Welta live in Anderson, SC along with their rescue dog Rion.
