He graduated from Woodberry Forest School (1995), The University of the South at Sewanee, TN (B.A. 1999) and the University of South Carolina Law School (J.D. 2002). During law school, he served on the South Carolina Environmental Law Journal and was a member of the John Belton O’Neall Inn of Court. After receiving his juris doctor, Jamie attended Tulane University Law School where he earned an LLM in Admiralty (LLM 2003) and was the recipient of the Edward A. Dodd, Jr. Award as the outstanding candidate for the degree of LLM in Admiralty. He was admitted to the South Carolina Bar and the United States District Court, District of South Carolina in 2003. He is a member of the Charleston County, South Carolina, and American Bar Associations, the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Association of Defense Trial Attorneys.
His areas of practice include admiralty, negligence, personal injury, products liability, construction litigation, medical malpractice, insurance coverage cases, and general civil and commercial litigation.
